As of Monday afternoon, the Nets only had a single player in the Covid-19 health and safety protocol, Paul Milsap. However as recently reported by The Athletic, the Nets have now 4 more listed as out tonight. Shams Cahr has reported that LaMarcus Aldridge, DeAndre Bembry, Jevon Carter, and James Johnson have all entered the protocols and could miss an extensive amount of time.

The Nets now have 7 players listed as out for tonight’s game against the Toronto Raptors. Both Joe Harris and Kyrie Irving will not play. This gives the Nets 8 players left, just enough to not have any games canceled.

These losses are devastating to the Nets, who are on course to win the East this season. Their title run was cut short last year with a loss in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, and they hope to make it further this year. These players potentially missing over a week will certainly hinder their performance later on in the year and will show in their record come playoff time.

The Nets’ next 5 opponents are as follows: Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic, Denver Nuggets. Washington Wizards.
