As reported by ESPN, the Sacramento Kings have fired head coach Luke Walton, after the team started off this season with a 6-11 record. Walton halts his career coaching with a record of 166-241.
This is Walton’s third season with the Kings. His past two seasons have each resulted in 31-41 seasons, and missed playoff appearances. Walton previously coached the Lakers, where he never made the playoffs or went above a .500 win percentage.
Some of the candidates to replace Walton include: Kenny Atkinson, Darvin Ham, Becky Hammon, and Bobby Jackson.
The Kings upcoming schedule includes games against the 76ers, Trail Blazers and Lakers. The next one, against the 76ers, is Monday night at 7PM local time.
