The Knicks PR office has announced that Kevin Knox will be out for tonight’s game against the Rockets due to health and safety protocols. Knox is the 4th Knick to join the list of players on the protocols. He joins RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin, and Quentin Grimes, all four of whom are still on their rookie contracts.

This is devastating for the Knicks, who are increasingly thin at the forward positions. Additionally, both Knox and Grimes were able to crack into the rotation because of the protocols, and the Knicks’ lack of depth.

They both performed well in the time they were given, which adds to the disappointment in these absences. Grimes had a 27 point performance against the Bucks on Sunday before entering protocols on Tuesday. In Knox’s two games with an increased role, he averaged 13.5 points and 6 rebounds per game. Additionally, he shot 46.7% from three shooting 7.5 times a night.

The Knicks face the Rockets tonight at 8 PM Eastern time and 7 PM local time
