America’s fourth-best college basketball team is undefeated no more. The University of Michigan has fallen in just their third game of the season to unranked Seton Hall.

Jared Rhoden came up big for Seton Hall, with 16 points. He was backed up by Tray Jackson and Bryce Aiken, who each had 13 points off the bench. Michigan had a strong 18 points from Hunter Dickenson, as well as 17 points from Eli Brooks, but it was not enough to avoid the upset.

This is a disappointing loss for Michigan, which has national championship aspirations. It also should be noted that they led at one point by 11 points. Their blown lead led to the loss and will be an important topic for the team going forward.

In his post-game remarks, Howard said: “Fundamentally, we got to do a better job of taking care of the basketball.” Michigan will likely focus on this in practice over the next week in preparation for their next matchup against UNLV on Saturday.
